We're all hung over. Well, not today, but none of us were particularly capable of doing anything over the weekend. I work as Production Manager and Keyboard Tech for the band Marillion, and I've just returned from a tour in North America (where I even managed to get a concussion!). But this was my last time on the road with them, so when I got home we Plugs decided to have a bit of a celebration. With champagne. Lots of champagne.
I've found you don't really realise how drunk you're getting on champagne - especially when mixed with peach schnapps and orange juice! - because it tastes so good. But needless to say, it did work its magic, and the collective Plugs had a collective hangover. But it's good to be back.
Now that I'm back, we decided to change the website and actually give you the information you've been asking for - plus a few more musical bits. And speaking of music, the recordings we did over this past year went extremely well, and are all sitting here on a hard drive ready for us to get stuck into. A lot of the work is already done, and the majority of the mixing will be the drums and vocals, and we hope to have a 4- or 5-track EP out in early 2005 with a full-length album to follow by Autumn.
We've also just been announced as one of the support acts at the Marillion Weekend 2005 (who?wha? click here for info) on 12th March next year (okay, so I work for them, but we were still subject to the same selection process!). We'll be playing some new tunes, and will probably have 1 or 2 warm-up gigs before hand. We will also be booking several shows AFTER this weekend as well, so if you're coming and "Plug in" you can catch us again without too much of a wait.
Hope you enjoy the updated website, and the 'missing' areas will be up and running soon (Steve and Tom still need to get me their photos from the recording sessions!)
